Government of Canada's Fee Schedules
The Department of Citizenship and Immigration charges fees to partially recover the cost of providing some of these services to the public. Since the processing fee helps defray the cost of processing your application it cannot to be refunded even if your application is unsuccessful. The only fee that is refundable is the Right of Landing Fee (ROLF). This fee will be refunded for unsuccessful immigrant applications or for those who withdraw or otherwise abandon immigration to Canada before the visa has been used. Fees can be paid in local currency of each country where Canadian visa office is situated.
Payment must be in Canadian or U.S. dollars, no other currency will be accepted.
Acceptable methods of payment are:
Payment in Canadian dollars must be drawn on a bank located in Canada.
Payment in U.S. dollars must be drawn on a bank located in the U.S.
* Please note that Cash and personal cheques will NOT be accepted.
The fees are payable when the application is submitted. Applications submitted without the correct fees will be returned to the applicant. The Right if Landing Fee (ROLF) may be paid at the time of application or at any time during processing. We recommend payment of ROLF at the time of application or at any time during processing. However, if payment of the ROLF is not made until all other processing requirements are met, visa issuance will be delayed.
